How can I get rid of hard skin?
Hard skin (or callus) forms in areas of pressure. It actually forms to protect your feet but then, ironically, adds to the pressure in the region. Daily application of a foot balm (often containing 10% or 25% urea) can minimise the development of hard skin, as will regular use of a pumice stone or similar.
Your Podiatrist can safely (and painlessly) remove hard skin from your feet in one treatment. The challenge then, is stopping the callus from returning. |
