I think I have an ingrown toenail, should I see a doctor or a podiatrist?

Many doctors will refer you to us for prompt treatment of ingrown toenails.  If we feel you require antibiotics to treat an infection associated with the ingrown nail we will request these from your G.P.  Most infections will clear very quickly once the ingrown spicule is removed and an antiseptic applied.
