Can you get arthritis in your feet?
Yes. There are 33 joints in your feet that are subjected to the full force of bodyweight each and every step. This force takes its toll on the intricate joints of the feet and can lead to joint degeneration (or osteoarthritis).
Another form of arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, also has major implications for the feet. This form of arthritis attacks the smaller joints of the feet and hands, and can cause severe deformities.
Other less common forms of arthritis can also present in the feet.
